Somatic EMDR

Somatic EMDR blends two evidence-based approaches to trauma healing: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and body-centered somatic therapy. Traditional EMDR uses bilateral stimulation through eye movements, taps, or tones to help the brain reprocess traumatic memories so they no longer feel like present-day threats.

Somatic EMDR adds an extra layer of care by tuning into the body throughout the process, since trauma lives not just in memory but in physical sensation, tension, and the nervous system itself. This combined approach helps you stay grounded and regulated while processing difficult material, working at a pace your body can actually handle rather than risking overwhelm.

Somatic EMDR addresses both the story of what happed and the way it's still held in the body. The result is a more integrated healing process.
